I love the tradition of making ornaments each year to remember what is going on that year, favorite activities, and to capture something the kids do that year. I love to look back at years past and see all the wonderful art they made. This year, I can capture their art on an ornament - and they can make whatever art they draw and color on paper! I made one for myself as well :)

These ornaments were made using sublimation with Artesprix. Artesprix Iron-on-Ink is a complete line of sublimation products that allow artists and crafters to permanently personalize polyester-coated substrates with their own designs. You color with the iron-on-ink pens, heat transfer the ink to a polyester-coated surface and your art is saved for a lifetime!
Check out this short video to see how I made it!
My ornament was made from a stamp set that I stamped with the Artesprix sublimation ink pad. It turns any stamp into something you can sublimate. I colored it in and heat set it to the blank. The blank I am using is the BLANK OF THE MONTH. For November it was an ornament, and each month it is different, so make sure to head back to the website to see the new blank each month. I also added the date to the back of my blank, but there are a few tips to follow, one being make sure you have the correct side facing your blank that you want to sublimate. I messed up my first ornament, can you tell what I did wrong?
Did you see what I see what I did wrong here?
My daughter used a stencil to draw out her reindeer head, then added dots of colored snow. I heat set it for her, just to be safe. And all it took was my home iron, but any heat press will work to heat set the inks. I love how it turned out!
