Perfect DIY Gift for a Loved One

I am always looking for that special something to make for my loved ones. This year my kids are getting a special message in a bottle with a poem I picked out just for them.

Check out the video to see how I made these fun little messages in a bottle with a poem inside with a little foil added for that extra something with all the extra fun tips on how to make these for yourself!

I got this amazing advent calendar with a wine a day for this past Christmas, these little bottles are 750 mL and perfect for upcycling into something amazing. So I cleaned them up and made them into something amazing.

I took off all the labels and then placed them in the Etchall dip n'etch solution to make it look like a sea glass bottle that washed ashore.

Leave the bottles in the solution for 15 minutes to let the liquid do its magic!

While the bottles are etching it is time to make the notes. I picked out a poem that would work for my kids an cut it fdown to size it fit in the bottle. I added foil using corresponding colors to the caps on the bottles using the Glaminator by Xyron.

I think the foil really gives these little messages that extra special something, so shiny and pretty!!

Now time to roll them up and add a little twine to hold them together before popping them into the bottles. I also added in some pretty flowers that correspond to the colours of the lids and also the vinyl that will go on the front. It is those little extra bits that make these even more special!

I cut out the StyleTechCraft Transparent Glitter Vinyl on my Circut Maker with the Premium Vinyl setting with extra pressure and the cut was perfect!

Time to weed out the bits of the vinyl not needed to reveal the phrase for the bottles!

Use the StyleTechCraft transfer tape to apply the vinyl to the bottle, it is so easy and placement is perfect as you can see the tape! Check out the video at the top to see how!

I added some burlap ribbon, twine, and pretty flowers to match each bottle using my Xyron Mini Hot Glue Gun.

I just love how these turned out! So cute and just the right size! You can make them out the super mini bottle or a regular wine bottle too, but I do love this in between size!

I think my kids are going to fight over the blue, but I love the color of all three!

What colors and message will you give to your loves ones to make them feel special?
